WandS, Α. Vasilainas, Ltd., is a building company involved in turnkey construction of ecological wood homes. It is the exclusive representative of the Finnish company ΚΟΝΤΙΟ, which is the largest manufacturer of log homes world-wide, as well as the Greek representative of the German company HESS.
The company imports glue-laminated timber of various sizes from Germany and pre-finished solid wood floors from Poland. It also deals in kitchen cabinetry from Greece and Italy, fuel-efficient fireplaces and radiator systems from Greece and France, and doors and windows from Greece and Finland. In 2010, we introduced solar, geothermal and photovoltaic systems to ensure that our homes have the lightest possible carbon footprint.
The company was founded in 1999 by the wood engineer Anastasios Vasilainas after many years of study, including forest economy in Greece, with a major in wood technology, wood engineering in France, project organization in England, and engineering and construction seminars at Finnish manufacturing companies. His expertise in the supervision and delivery of thousands of square meters' worth of wood homes (see our projects page) enables him to guarantee, in writing, the quality of your home.

Wood and Stone (WandS) is a technical company specializing in wood construction for use in a large variety of structures, including wood homes, office buildings, restaurants and hotels as well as special structures such as polyhedral roofs and various buildings in which the main building material is wood. WandS undertakes studies involving wood in combination with other materials such as stone, cost analysis reports and the completion of the paperwork required for subsidized programs. All WandS buildings are guaranteed and after sales service is provided for many years to ensure your complete satisfaction.

At present, our staff includes four administrative employees and three construction crews capable of a yearly production output of between 1600-1800 square meters.

It goes without saying that even technical knowledge and the best of intentions cannot entirely preclude the possibility of human error. Quality is our objective. We have taken our promise to heart, and know that the road is rough, the difficulties unforeseeable and the challenge long-term.
But we are at least trying to reach a level of quality that lies beyond the common standard here in Greece, and that ideal has truly become our goal.
